Creating Effective Client Video Testimonials “Video Case Studies”

People buy from people that like know and trust.  Companies look for referrals and recommendations to conduct business.  Video is high leveraged content for storytelling information.  If done correctly, video can be powerful platform for testimonials.

In Lehman’s Terms here are my steps for conducting effective video testimonials that resonate with your audience and future customers.

Doing Effective Video Testimonials Social Selling TV

Think of your client video testimonial as video case study showcasing your client’s perspective and journey acquiring and using your product, service or solution.

1) Have the client identify their pain points, challenges, issues prior to using your solution.

2) Have the client tell and show the impact of your solution,  share the value and benefits that your solution provided.  Your are positioning the client as brand advocates which are educating future customers.  Share the results and cross promote.

3) Have the client share some statistical quantitative information data and facts that support using your service or product.  This will help validate your solution.

Video Response “Tweetheart TV” How to do a video response

Recently I did a video post spotlighting Stephanie Wonderlin  host of Tweetheart TV, an interactive video show that highlights, social media news, tips and reviews. Tweetheart TV is a true interactive show that allows the viewer to watch more contact through a video menu. Stephanie asked her viewers to submit a video response for ideas for her upcoming shows on Tweetheart TV.

So how do you make a video response? How can you leverage this powerful action in social video engagement? It is easy to do a video response in YouTube. Doing a video response is simple and outlined on this link. Making a video Response

To make a video response click on all comments listed below the video. A hyperlink will appear on the right side of the comments box “Create a Video Response”. The next step is choosing a video, either from your existing videos or uploading a new video.

Make Brands Social “Vitrue” Social Selling TV Spotlight

In this episode of Social Selling TV, We are spotlighting “Vitrue” We make brands social!

On May 17, I became the 3000 follower for Vitrue. I was fortunate to win a gift bag. Vitrue gets the concept of be social with their fans and customers. When I decide to follow an individual, organization or company on twitter, there has to be a compelling reason to follow and engage.

Back in May, I heard Erika Brookes from Vitrue speak at the Digital Summit on the topic of 10 Social Trends to Watch In 2011. I decided to checkout her company website, YouTube Channel, Facebook Business Page etc. The next logical step was following Vitrue on twitter. I was fortunate to win a prize but the real prize was learning about a dynamic company. I also uncovered a YouTube show call Social Soup hosted Steve Barnes. Social Soup provides tips for marketers from marketers on social media stories.

To put it in Lehman’s Terms be SOCIAL
You can provide and deliver a lot of content on your company website, blogs, business pages etc, but if your clients, followers, fans are not engaged and don’t share with their networks, you are simply missing the point about being sociable. The ultimate value is what other people are saying about you and your company brand, leveraging the power of social media.

Mini Documentary My Video Contest Story Dell Vostro V130

I created a quick mini documentary, my own journey in winning a merit based video contest held by Adria Richards sponsored by Dell Computer.

The Awesome Adria Richards Story was posted back on February 25, http://douglehman.com/videocontest2 My video response is long overdue. I decided to show a video story that will visualize and conceptualize the power and influence of video engagement.

I received my new laptop a Dell Vostro V130 a couple of weeks ago and it rocks! Special Thanks to Zócalo Group for managing the First Impressions Video Contest with Dell. I would also like to thank my business partner for The Dug Show Madison Carlista for appearing in the quick video clip.

February Video Engagement Case Studies

During my last webinar series on how to leverage video to enhance your selling process and improve customer engagement, I spotlighted two dynamic women in Social Media and technology training Adria Richards and Desiree Peeples. Both Adria and Desiree leverage the power of video and provide compelling content to their customers and audience. I am very fortunate to connect with these two ladies back in February. They add value and provided me with excellent cases studies for video engagement. Checkout out the slides below that contain notes. More to come on these case studies in my next post, a Video Response

My Video Contest Case Study “Awesome Adria Richards”

More on Video Contests as a form of customer engagement video

Back in November, I was researching screen capturing software programs.  I came across a YouTube Review by Adria Richards  and that was an eye opener.  Adria’s video was compelling and engaging.  This one video led me to an awesome online video resource trainer Adria Richards.  Instantly I became a fan of her work which delivers a wealth of tips and information that truly empowers people through technology.

Adria just had a video contest to win a Laptop computer, a Dell Vostro V130 and guess who the winner was?

Here are my takeaways. You need to provide valuable content on your videos to engage your audience. Promotional prizes and contest are great tools for initial attraction. Delivering consistent and quality material for your audience is a must and necessary for continued customer engagement and repeat viewership.

Now don’t get it twisted, I love winning my new laptop but learning from superstar trainers and speakers like Adria Richards is priceless.  I look forward to hearing her speak live and in-person.

More on Adria.  She is an organic technology trainer, consultant and speaker.  She has produced numerous online video tutorials.  Adria can execute and deliver training programs in several ways, webinar style, in-person, one-on-one remote training and recorded screencast tutorials to name a few styles. Video Contests can help with Social Video Promotion

This has been a great week for me in the video engagement world. I conducted a new webinar on how to use social video to enhance your selling process. On the topic of types of engagement videos, I did not cover the impact of hosting customer video contests. Video contests are a powerful way to promote your business, create a company buzz and drive customer interaction and engagement.

There are several styles of engagement videos, educational, interviews, product demonstrations, how to videos, PSA, webinars, testimonials, entertainment skits, etc. Hosting a compelling video contest can drive traffic to your website. Its human nature, people like to give and receive value.

Providing valuable content on your company website or blog is the primary step, using promotional contests is an added bonus technique. Video contests allow the audience to conceptualize visualize and recognize.

To put it in Lehman’s Terms “Video Contests” can help customer video engagement but you must provide quality content to keep your viewers and customers coming back

More to come in my next post, on the impact of video contest in your customer engagement process.  A real life case study..
