Here is my video blog recap for the Atlanta Brian Solis Book Signing Event  hosted by Cox Communications and Social Media Marketing Communications Agency Everywhere.

To put it in Lehman’s Terms this event was awesome. Both Cox Communications and Everywhere did an amazing job hosting the book signing Event. Free Book, good food and drink with a great speaker and innovative  leader in Brian what more could you ask for plus a tremendous networking opportunity.

Brian was awesome and shared some insight on his new book “What’s The Future of Business” I plan to do a full video book review soon so stay tuned.  I had a nice conversation with Brian reguarding the impact of video as a social channel for customer engagment sharing.  More to come on that topic.  Let’s put the social in your video.

Brian touched on the following; the new book design and some content.  He introduced four distinct moments of truth and how organizations should create and guide a desirable experience.  I look forward to completing this book soon.

This update is long overdue!  Last month, I started working with Bianca Burwell on her new radio station. The Beat Drops Radio. I will be putting it to you in Lehman’s Terms Monday through Friday 3pm to 5pm on the Bianca Burwell Show.

I am very excited about the opportunity to be a talk host and leverage my video ambassador skills for this new radio station. More importantly I am teamed up with a great group of people on the Bianca Burwell Show, Comedian and Actor Rod Minger, he is funny, insightful and on point. The lovely Stacey J who always has something to say, inspiring others to new heights and CarmermanATL, the man on the street bringing the hype and style.

Direct Message Tweet “Video Response” Thank You Followers

In Lehman’s Terms I love to position and leverage video as tool for social engagement.  I made a series of videos to update some of my twitter followers on the power of 140 text characters, simple update on my end and attempt to open further dialogue. My method was a direct message tweet that was customized to each follower using simple text and video. My goal was to create a visual and engaging message to connect instantly and thank them for being a follower.

I am not a big fan of automatic direct messages on Twitter after we just connected especially if the message is impersonal. In some cases this technique can be viewed as spam. Get to know me first and build the relationship. Make an effort to do the research and look over my profile first etc.

I do feel it is important to acknowledge new followers and connections on Twitter, LinkedIn etc and a simple value-centric response is warranted at certain times.

Originally, I was going to do a video highlighting the new LinkedIn facelift but I came across two tremendous articles and VIDEOS that highlight these changes. Today I want to spotlight Viveka von Rosen and Donna Serdula for their great posts and educational videos on the recent changes to LinkedIn profiles. Please check out their blog posts and watch their videos if you want to learn more about LinkedIn Profile Changes. Both videos are great visual presentations to train on LinkedIn.
