The last two months, I have been fortunate to team up with my friend and colleague Barb Giamanco on a video series called Social Centered Selling Moments. We discuss social selling and sales training best practices. I break it down in Lehman’s Terms and Barb is the voice of reason.

I am making the assumption that you already know your product features and service benefits.  The second assumption is you that have a clear understanding of prospecting and selling to correct target audience.  Sales superstars take personal responsibility and accountability to self train.  They are not waiting on corporate training programs or the marketing department to provide knowledge base training material. They are motivated and committed to learning.

Sure social selling is an effective strategy that can generate more leads and build brand awareness but at the end of day, the sales process begins and ends with the salesperson’s skill set. Does the salesperson have the communication and management skills to get appointments, qualify leads and close deals?
